the strangers came,
took the little princess
and drove her away.

Beneath
a tower
The princess was found.
Her eyes are open,
but still she counts.
"Father,
father please stop this game!

schlafwandelnd.
Das
Kind
der steinernen Mutter.
Das versteinerte Kind ?
Versteinert ?
Es
lief über Berge,
deren Schatten
ihm die letzte Wärme raubten.
Durch
Wüsten lief das Kind,
deren Trockenheit
ihm fast alles Lebensspendene nahm.
Schwimmend
durchquerte das Kind
selbst berstende Flüsse,
deren Lauf
es ihm unmöglich machte
zurückzuschauen.
Das
versteinerte Kind.
Versteinertes Kind ?
Nach
dieser qualvollen Reise
kam das Kind an
in einem großen Tal.
Das
steinerne Kind.
Das versteinerte Kind ?
Es
lebte.
